In the book
Signs of Life there is an article that Ian Daly has written about being pathetic in social network popularity. I strongly disagree with his claim because he directs it towards every person who has popularity on social network. He seems to not care for the reasoning behind every persons great rise in popularity. Though he is against it, I believe that behind every persons popularity there must have been a great story.
I agree with you, Daly does try to put everyone in the same boat. Personally, i am someone who don't care if I'm social media famous or not. Maybe i do not have a reason to be famous on social media, like some people do. Most people that try to be social media famous, really don't have a reason behind. You can see clearly some girls and guys on Instagram that get million of likes only because they do not have a shirt on. Why? just because they do not have a shirt on?
ReplyDeletesome people do have reasons to try to be social media famous, maybe because they are really good singers, or even have a health issue and may need help. Something like the ALS challenge, this challenge does have a reason behind it. and social media was a big help to show what this disease is all about.
I also think that Ian Daly is wrong. He only seem to be stuck the speculation that social media causes men to not act like men. Which really shouldn't matter to anybody. He only seems to be stuck in the past.
